Tomato Chutney
A flavourful, aromatic, and versatile condiment. Dipping Momos into tomato chutney becomes a culinary ritual, with each dip enhancing the dumplings with a burst of flavour.

Lamb Masala MomosINGREDIENTS
150 g fresh tomatoes
3 to 4 dried red chillies, soaked in cold water for 30 minutes (alternatively use 2 tsp of chilli flakes)
1 tbsp garlic, chopped
1 tbsp dried Timur berries (or Sichuan peppercorns)
¼ tsp black peppercorns
¼ – ½ tsp sugar (or add to taste)
1 tbsp sesame seeds/tahini (optional)
Salt (add to taste)
method
Step 1: Blanch the tomatoes in a pan of boiling water for 8-9 minutes until softened.
Step 2: Remove from pan and put tomatoes in a blender with the rehydrated chillies, garlic, Timur berries, black peppercorn, sesame seeds (optional) and sugar.
Step 3: Blend to a smooth paste, then season with salt.
Serve with Lamb Masala Momos (steamed as per the cooking instructions). Enjoy!
