Egg Fried Rice
Each forkful of egg-fried rice offers a delightful medley of flavours. Combine this with our Vegetable Jiaozi for a mouth-watering and well-balanced dish that combines the flavours of fried rice with the savoury goodness of vegetable-filled dumplings.

2 eggs, beaten

1 tbsp ginger finely chopped

1 tbsp garlic finely chopped

4 cups cold cooked rice

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp ground white pepper

Salt

50 g frozen peas, defrost before cooking

2 spring onions, chopped (white part for cooking, green ends for garnish)

2 tbsp vegetable oil
method
Step 1: Warm the oil in a heated pan. Add garlic, ginger, peas, and spring onions, and stir fry for a few minutes over medium heat.
Step 2: Add the cooked rice and heat up thoroughly for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Make a hole in the centre of the rice and add the beaten eggs.
Step 4: Stir fry for a few minutes, until the rice is evenly mixed with egg.
Step 5: Season with ground white pepper and salt to taste.
Step 6: Lastly, add sesame oil to the fried rice and give it a final stir.
Step 7: Garnish with spring onions.
Or make your dipping sauce by mixing:
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or balsamic vinegar)
- ½ tbsp chilli oil (optional, for an extra kick)
Serve with Vegetable Jiaozi (steamed as per the cooking instructions). Enjoy
